In Deadlink there are three crisis levels, otherwise known as difficulty levels.
In order of lowest to highest difficulty, they are VR Orientation, Deep Dive, and Neuromancy. Each crisis level affects the game in many ways, including increased enemy health, armor, speed, etc., but also increased rewards like XP and Turing Tokens. Below you will find each difficulty and exactly how they affect the game.
At the start, only VR Orientation is unlocked and requires one to beat Phoenix Apex on that crisis level to unlock Deep Dive, which subsequently requires beating Phoenix Apex on that level to unlock Neuromancy. Beating Phoenix Apex on Neuromancy unlocks a primary weapon skin for the combat shell used in that run.
When you unlock a crisis level for one combat shell, you unlock that crisis level for all combat shells on that save.
VR Orientation[]
- Baseline simulation setting, representing projected capabilities of targeted corporations. Default setting.
- Marked enemies drop 100% shields
- C-Balls drop 2 secondary weapon ammo
- Marked effect duration 0%
- Shop prices are 0% higher
- Enemies have 100% HP
- Enemies have 0 bonus armor
- Enemies deal 0% more damage
- Enemies are 0% faster
- 25 XP after combat arena
- 250 XP from XP doors
- 1 Token from Token doors
- 200 XP after defeating boss
- 3 Tokens after defeating boss
Deep Dive[]
Deep Dive is the second hardest difficulty, unlocked by defeating Phoenix Apex on VR Orientation. A list of effects for this difficulty are listed below:
- Marked enemies drop 6 shield
- C-balls drop 2 secondary weapon ammo
- Marked effect duration -40%
- Shop prices 25% higher
- Enemies have 110% health
- Enemies have 5 bonus armor
- Enemies deal 20% more damage
- 30 XP from defeating combat encounter
- 60 XP from XP doors
- 1 token from token doors
- 400 XP from defeating a boss
- 4 tokens from defeating a boss
- 50% health restored at healing doors
Neuromancy[]
The hardest difficulty, unlocked by defeating Phoenix Apex on Deep Dive, and defeating Phoenix Apex on this difficulty grants a weapon skin for the primary weapon of the combat shell used. A list of effects for this difficulty are listed below:
- Marked enemies drop 5 shield
- C-balls drop 1 secondary weapon ammo
- Marked effect duration -60%
- Shop prices 50% higher
- Enemies have 110% health
- Enemies have 25 bonus armor
- Enemies deal 20% more damage
- Enemies are 25% faster
- 45 XP from defeating combat encounter
- 75 XP from XP doors
- 2 token from token doors
- 850 XP from defeating a boss
- 7 tokens from defeating a boss
- 35% health restored at healing doors
